Ok everyone, I need some advice on what this dream means. It begins with the world finding out that there is an army of alien ships in the atmosphere that will land on Earth within the week. World leaders decided to fly selected people chosen by a lottery off of the earth and out of the way of the impending destruction. I did get picked, but the bus that was suppose to come for me and my family never showed up, and for some reason during this time I got separated from my family. I did end up finding shelter in time to see the alien ships coming into the atmosphere. They were huge barrel shaped ships with a hallow middle in them. Anyways, I remember them starting to release a type of gas that killed anyone who was outside, and started to destroy any buildings within the area of the ships. I made it through the first wave of destruction, but the people I ended up with left to try to put out the fire on our building and never returned, so I was alone. I just remember the helplessness I felt at being alone and tried to call my family, but all of their phones were off. Thats when I woke up, and it was one of those dreams where you wake up crying. I'm okay now, but I'm curious as to what this dream meant.
