I think Dollarama is working on beating the regular supermarkets on prices and attract more business. They are carrying all the great brands for less. I saw Kleenex 10 pack and other new products(shock)

I found containers of Quaker Steel Cut oats $1.25
You have to remember that some of the items Dollarama carries are older products. Toys is a HUGE example of this and so is many cosmetic items. Only on a few items do they beat WALMART and other big box retailers. You have to know your prices to really save money. For instance Cheetos chesse puffs are $2.00 for a small bag but during many sales at Walmart it's $2.00 for the MEGA sized bag. Some deoderants there are $2.00 now but other places have them for $1.79 or you can $2.00 for a bigger sized version.
Sometimes they have great deals like the glasses sets(8) for $3.00 and AXE body wash for $2.00 but they go fast, so checking your Dollarama weekly is essential to finding amazing deals.
Found 2 decent items but didn't have my phone with me to take pics.
10 pack cd-r memorex(brown pacakage) with cases for $3.00(slightly lower than other places like WALMART)
AXE Deoderant "VICE" scent $2.00
At Dupont/Lansdowne.
Have not go to Dollarama for months .... wow they have so many great deals and I always have fun in shopping in it (you never know what surprise you got there!)
This is what I found at Dollarama today: Tresemme shampoo/conditioner - $2.00, Bendaroos Mega Set - $3.00 (unbelievable price and an amazing toy!), Sunsilk Volume Mousse - $2.00, Bras - $3.00 (quality comparable to George brand) and Guiness World Records Magic Reveal Puzzles - $1.00.
last time i was there i got milkbone dog treats for $2
wow! I need to go into Dollarama more too! I will check out Sarnia's Dollarama soon & report back :blob9:
i know its not a special thing, but the flossed toothpicks brand that i can only find at dollarama? amazing!
There's a huge difference in the way they make the product. I know that the american products in the Phillipines are almost water down versions of the same things we have here. Stuff like shampoos and body wash seems extremely thinned out and the scent is very low(Like when you have very old shampoos that has sat around for a while). I have tried a few products from Dollarama that were American/Canadian brands but made someplace else and there was a big difference than what was sold at Walmart/Shoppers(which most products are either made in North/South America.)
I have the adult Snuggie and I love it, so I went to the local Dollarama to take a look. They had blue and pink kids' Snuggies. Bought one for myself for $3. It's for kids up to 5 feet, and I'm a few inches taller, but it's still awesome. Thanks for the find!
Hi dvdswapper,
My husband used to work at a manufacturing plant that made products for J&J, Proctor & Gamble, Unilever, etc... The formulation is all the same for the products, because they are given by the company. They had products shipped from Poland and they shipped to Poland and the product formulas were identical.
No problem michiemoo! Keep checking back, because I got the blue kid one, and next time I went I found the adult one :) Good luck!
So I was at Dollarama today and noticed that all the adult Snuggies are sold out. On the exact same shelf they had a Dreamie. I didnīt buy it, but this is what it is. I found this image online. It was $3Attachment 133823
That would make a hilarious gag gift for my dad for Christmas. My grandmother is notorious for buying Shopping Channel items for all of us for Christmas, so we're always getting some doozies. This would be sure to get a groan and a laugh, but it might even be practical for him -- due to heart problems he's had for years, he sleeps better on the couch, where he can be a little more upright on his side when he's sleeping.
I saw Dreamie at my local dollarama but didn't pick 1 up, was looking for Snuggie adult size which they don't have. They have like 10 kid size Snuggie at Squareone location. Anyone seen Snuggie adult size in Mississauga location?
those would be great for kid when they are sick and hanging out on the couch if they are cheap. anything yucky happens just throw it out.
Hey guys,
I was at the Dollarama again yesterday. Is it just me or are the Dollarama crowds getting larger? Their back to school section is amazing! They had a 13 piece (I think...) school supply set for $2 or $3, a stand to put on your desk with a ruler, stapler, clips, pen the whole works! That stuff used to be expensive back in the day! They also have tonssssssssss of binders, and those ones with the see-through covers too! My husband also says the Slurpie finishing lures they sell are name brand. Also, helium balloon ready to go. It's interesting because there is a party shop next door, but I will choose the balloons from Dollarama over them any day :)
only been able to find the Adult size snugglie too, darn. purchased dental floss from dollar store and not finding a difference from name brands. also for those who can, they carry the name brand lids for $1!
I'm near Renfrew and came across a row of Snuggies! TONS of Crayola stuff. LOTS of brand name baby stuff. Twilight puzzles, and I can't remember now, but two other puzzles from very popular shows. Just nothing I watch, so I can't remember :(
