The Krazy Coupon Lady, Joni Demer, is on the Nate Berkus show.
She is doing a week's work of meals for $10.
She was on the very first few episodes of Extreme Couponing.

Just watched their Black Friday hauls.
They had 40 to 60 per cent savings. They spend between $500 and $1100.
Sorry, we don't have that much for Christmas giving -- so I did not get why this was an example of extreme savings.

Oh dear, I feel bad for the owner of the Glazier's store that Chris shopped at. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and saying I don't think Chris knew they were counterfeit.
A lot of "free" coupons on Ebay are fakes - more so in the states than in Canada I've noticed - and you have to be insanely careful. I guess he just wasn't careful and didn't ensure that they were legitimate...
I hope he does the right thing and pays the store what he cost them, because 200+ 32-Load Tide is a huge, huge, huge loss for an independent store.

It is just me or us Canadians can't save as much as our US counterparts when it comes to coupons. Some of the extreme couponing episodes make me envy. I find that my reaction experience is the same as some people reported getting their printable coupons accepted at some well known retails chains. Check out the comments here.

No, it's not you. It's impossible to save as much as they protray in the show. Even blackbelt tightwad couponers in the US will admit to not being able to achieve those kinds of savings and one of them was featured on the show! A lot of the shows are staged and coupons policies ignored to bring down the prices.
One Canadian lady I follow on the internet manages to get a lot of coupons from some of the coupon mailing sites, but that's because she signs up family members who give her the coupons when they get them.

And plus we are privileged with the 13% HST here in Ontario. The other day I got a 2 for 1 coupon for New York Fries in the Mail from TD bank (I guess for being TD Visa customer), so I went to my local mall with my friend. I was disappointed to know I could only use the coupon for regular fries. And with the final bill of $10 something (including HST on both Fries), the saving of just $3.99 looked really distasteful. The show really gets your hopes high. I was hoping to save $10 and pay only $3.99...lol
