Also I have to mention on Tyler's episode, did anyone catch the laundry detergent shelf tag? Buy 10 save $3?! Who BESIDES a couponer would EVER buy 10 at one time? That's like $45-$50 worth of detergent.
I was just at Vons / Pavillion (owned by Safeway) in California. They had a buy 8 save $5 promotion.. it was on many items through the store and you could mix and match. Maybe this was something similar?

Tyler.. he had 11yr worth of laundry detergent, and he bought more? That's sick.

    Ron.

I had to work until 11pm the other night (usually, if I work evening, it's until 8pm...)... so I was way bored, and tired, and watched tv for a bit... this show was on.

I didn't get pointers... but I did find myself learning what NOT to do!!!

SmackUTwice made a good point -- some in the show are not an inspiration.

Take a look at the Coupon Diva's video at the end of ths page
    http://tlc.discovery.com/videos/extr...-lives-videos/

The rest of the videos are on this site. Caution: don't click on the other links and make sure your virus scan/firewall are active. Michelle and Kelly are a good video (not the shelf clearing Michelle)

Ahh I didn't realize the Buy _ Save _ was able to be mixed and matched.

I can't remember exactly what Tyler's detergent count was, but I wonder how they split it up. Did they just average how many loads of laundry he did a year? As a single guy, he probably does a load a week, maybe 2. My family of four does five or six at very least, so his 11 years would maybe last us 2 or 3.

I think some of the numbers are a bit deceptive if you don't really think about where they're getting those numbers. 11 years for one person is slashed to a fraction of that when you have a family.

I think his shopping buddy was his room mate. He may share the detergent with her.
