How old were you when you had your First Child?

I hope this isn't a personal question, but I am truly just curious. Just reading through people's post about how many kids they have/ and parenting skills. Plus I came across this article and found it....interesting....I guess to put it nicely.

So how old were you when you had your first child?

I was 31 when I had my first, and 33 when I had my second (last).

I know its shocking!! I dont even think at 11 years old you could take care of yourself for the most part. Taking care of a child...can't even imagine it

First off, OMG @ the article!!!! Wow. I think if my DD had a baby at 11 I'd die of a heart attack.

I was 27 when I had my first child & 29 when I had my second child. I honestly feel I would've handled everything a lot better had I waited another few years, as we did want children.....just weren't expecting to have them so soon after getting married!
Both were *unplanned* pregnancies as I was on birth control each time. I can't imagine having had them any younger as I had a hard enough time adjusting & had bad PPD after each child......But, they were wanted, they were loved from the time they were conceived & I try to be the best Mommy that I know how to be (since they don't give you a manual on 'how-to raise a child' when you leave the hospital LOL) - it's definitely been a most rewarding and a most challenging experience that I would never change for the world

I have one and I was 6mos shy of 40. I am glad that I was able to have him. He is the best thing I have done !!!

My first (was due the day before my birthday but ended up being late) so I was 20 instead of 19.
My second I was 21
My third (and last) I was 25

I think that's the youngest I've heard of yet. That's a baby raising a baby!!

I guess whatever makes your world go round. I dunno. Just can't help but wonder how well off baby and mom will be at such a tender young age like that.

They sure did give me one! Or close enough to one, lol. A big whole packet, with calendars, guideline lists, all kinds of stuff.

Actually, the youngest ever was 5. Google it. She started having her period when she was 1, her parents raised her child as her brother. (I like to read Weird News, lol.)

Technically, my first child was 2 days before my 17th birthday. But he was born at only 27ish weeks, so early, and he didn't make it.. (Also, sadly was a BIG mistake. Guy I had been dating for 2 years said he loved me, wanted a baby, yada yada...I gave in, told him I was pregnant, and he dumped me.)
So really, my first was Luna, and I was 19 (2 weeks exactly before my 20th). This one I will be 21.
