I have been saving my to some Pamper's and Tide coupons for a rainy day. and hoping for good sales to come on these items at London Drugs. I was getting kind of worried because the coupons were set to expire soon and still no sales. Finally, today both came on sale at once so I headed down there early this evening.

I picked out the items I was planning to purchase, organized my coupons and headed for the till. Although I am getting much more confident about stacking coupons at LD I still experience a wee twinge of panic right before telling the cashier that I have coupons. Today's experience was actually awesome; not because of the good deals, but, because of the cashier who was very pleasant, managed to put me right at ease about stacking and handled all of my coupons wonderfully. On top of that I think her name was Karma, unless, it was Karla and I totally misread her name tag in my slightly anxious state. The only concern that she had was that I did not have any overages on the Pamper's and wipes coupons. She even took all my $3 off large Tide coupons. She said they looked different so she could take them even though they have the same UPC.

    I purchased :

2 x packages of Pamper's Swaddlers for my newly expected grandchild
    at 2 for $24.99
2 x Pamper's Ultra Thick Sensitive Wipes at $4.99 each
2 x Coldwater Clear and Free Tide 60 load usage at $12.99 each ( i figure these will be good for washing baby clothing so I will save them)
1 x Multiboniata 60 capsule at $24.99 for my pregnant daughter

    I used the following coupons:

5 x save $1 on any Pamper's wipes all with different UPC
3x save $4 WUB (1 from PG flyer and 2 from website)one Pamper's diaper and 1 wipes ( I am certain one went missing and will show up at a later time)
4 x save $2 WUB any Pamper's diapers (2 from PG site and 2 from flyer)
1 x save $2 WUB one Swaddler's sensitive diapers (from Websaver)
    2 x save $5 WUB2 Tide ( 1 from PG site and 1 from flyer)
2 x save $3 WUB1 Tide 52 use or higher found at safeway--the very large coupon
2 x save $3 WUB1 Tide 52 use or higher found at RCSS--the one that has the typo and says Maufacturer Coupon
2 x save $10 WUB Multiboniata Vitamins(different UPC--from smartsource or redplum not sure which)
1 x save $5 WUB Multiboniata Vitamins--not sure what was the source of this one--someone sent it to me in a trade

The total before coupons was $94.50, I saved $74. All in all I paid $20.50, of which $8.56 was HST and LST ( a relatively new environmental tax I believe).

I figure this is a pretty good day's work.

    LST is the (Lower) HST

HST = 12% & LST = 5% (items that previously only had GST charged)

Ahhh..thank you! I had no idea there was a lower HST. I am a bit clueless when it comes to these things. I assumed it was an environmental tax because I got charged that somewhere else. All these taxes nowadays!
