I am thankful my sister went and got a 2nd opinion at a child neurologist regarding her son and his initial Cerebral Palsy diagnosis...because HE DOESN't have CP!!
Yay, I am sooo happy she went with her gut to seek better medical advise.

I'm thankful for crystal clear blue skies today and being able to watch 6 (!) bald eagles doing big lazy circles over Burrard Inlet.

That is wonderful! A second, and even third, opinion is always the best thing to do regarding something so serious.

It is my Dads birthday today and although he passed in 2006 I still miss him everyday. So I'd like to say that I am thankful for my Dad. He was a great man and a good father and I am thankful for all he taught me and all the time we spent together camping and fishing and just hangin'. I am thankful I knew him.

Ditto to that! And I'm thankful for Canada period.

Out of all the people in the world, if you have somehow managed to be a Canadian then it's like winning the lottery of life. Our "problems" pale in comparison to what the vast majority of people in this world have to deal with.

I totally agree! And, especially, I have learned how much better it is since my husband came here from a communist country. And I'm SO glad my grandparents emigrated here!
