Well, I am thankful that I'm getting enough back from my taxes to be able to get an eye exam and new glasses...
Now, I have no excuse for not finally getting it done.

I am thankful that I saw my dr yesterday - new meds to try for my arthritis, and off work for the next 4 weeks...
Not too happy about being out of work, but its necessary for now..
Also thankful for getting thru my baby girls birthday this saturday (my little girl is now in double digits -10 years old!). Even though the flu + the flareup with the arthritis was/is bad, my sweetie had a great birthday with family and friends. The average dog
is nicer
than the average person.

I just submitted my last assignment online, for my mandatory course.
I am thankful because it was a horrible, horrible course: disorganized, bad text books, bad teacher, students bullying each other...
Now, it's done.

For my wonderful family and friends that have been such a great support. For all my friends on sc that have been so generous and caring with all the wonderful cards, letters and ensure coupons.
We all need a little sunshine every now and then

Thankful for the wonderful afternoon at our cabin with our little great granddaughter. What a wonderful way to celebrate Palm Sunday after Church.

I am thankful that, for the first time in as long as I can remember, I am not thinking about my thesis! I got the darned thing polished off and sent away to my advisor - all 299 pages of it! (plus references, appendices, etc., of course). I'm sure there will still be revisions, etc., but I'm so close to being done that it's exciting/scary
And congratulations to gryphon! I remember when I first started grad school (fall 2006 - 5 1/2 years ago, yikes!).... You'll hear this 1000 times I'm sure, but academic programs at the grad level are, at times, terribly brutal and life-sucking. They are, however, also some of the most rewarding experiences that you can imagine. It's really addictive. Don't say you haven't been warned

^ AMEN to that! And I didn't even do my Ph'D. Just my master's. Most wonderful, exhilarating, stressful, profound, and exhausting year of my life. Loved it. hated it. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
Congrats on getting it done glowworm2k! Good luck with the editing and then *gulp*, the defense.
And good luck to you also gryphon in your new adventure! It will be a blast!
oh yes...and I am thankful for the upcoming long weekend. Looking forward to spending it with the family!"Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle
