I am thankful that the dog (Dizzy) we just adopted has now finally been accepted by our first doggie (Matte). There was some concern as Matte is a 3 yr old rotti and the new adopted dog (Dizzy 3yrs old) is about 1/10th of Matte's size. Glad Matte didn't eat him . Matte wants to play but Dizzy is a smart little dog and knows when to climb up on he couch and jump on someones lap to avoid Matte's want to play rough house

That I physically feel pretty good today. My mind's still shot, but at least my body doesn't feel like it's falling apart for a change; what a treat! :D

Not gonna lie. I came to this thread because my life is a little stressful right now and what I really want to do is cry... so I need to get my priorities straight again. So here goes...

1. I am thankful for family yoga night and the bonding time I had with my daughters...even though they were making jokes about farts the whole time and I had to try to stifle the inevitable giggles that wanted to erupt when it was really quiet in the fricken yoga room. I am SO thankful for my kids! And they give THE best hugs. Ever!

2. I am thankful to be alive, healthy, and surrounded by a very supportive DH who listens when I need to rave and gives me a shoulder to lean on when I need to weep.

3. I am thankful for the opportunity that is now before me. It feels like a test of my patience and my sanity, but I'm gonna use it to be the strongest, most loving, gracious, and kind person that I can be.

I'm thankful for technology - especially the internet - because it connects me to a whole different world, and especially to SC.
We've had internet troubles here, and it really made me think how much I love to be connected with all this wonderfulness... and miss it so much when it's gone.

I'm thankful that this thread is still running strong, proving that no matter how life may suck at times, we can still be thankful.
I'm thankful that I can still walk and am glad that I can shuffle my feet through the leaves. I love the sensation and the sound.
I'm sorry that I've been away from SC for so long. Life has had its challenges, but I'm hoping that matters will settle.

I'm thankful today for very nice elderly people (not that younger ones can't be nice!). The same couple from our church who gave us some garden produce about a month ago have been generous to us once again. My husband had made plans to go over there to BUY some potatoes. However, they wouldn't let him pay - and he came home with at least 20 lbs of potatoes, 10lbs carrots, another quart sealer of dill pickles, two big containers of beets and horseradish, two huge bags of raspberries, and a giant cake.
Well, I was floored, and humbled by their generosity. So very thankful there are people like this in the world.
They explained to my husband that they still like doing all this gardening, and have no family to share it with here, and they already give lots away to friends.
