What are you thankful for today?

that I had two dresses in my closet already for my friends rehearsal dinner tomorrow (I am reading in the ceremony) as well as for the wedding. one less expense on an expensive weekend and the dresses are nice!

Woke up in mega pain after only sleeping for 3 hours.. But I am still..

Missed posting this two days ago - at the end of a very hot day, my son came home from work and brought a huge Slurpee for me - aw, what a sweetie! He knew I would be sweltering because of the heat!

My Chinese lantern plants I thought had all died off suddenly have taken over a nice stretch of the walkway!!! Oh I can hardly wait till those green lanterns turn all orange!!

Thankful that DS2 wants to be home with me I missed him so much this week!!

I am thankful because my work is running pretty smoothly today.

that when my fiance and I moved in together (two and a half years ago) we didn't throw out our huge separate collection of fans. we both had two (much like cats, for those who know us ) and they are coming in super handy with the 35 degree weather, pre-humidity. we also were able to find a decent window AC for $50, rather than the $200 price-tag for the ones from the store. sooo, I am thankful we have an almost bearable house to sleep in. almost. we both slept on the couch last night (sectional) because the living room is the easiest room to cool down (main level versus second floor)... if only we still had a basement, I'd be down there with an air mattress

on vacation, made it "home" safe & sound, got to see tons of family & friends in one night, watching the sun come up over the ocean, the smell of salt air!! Life is good!

I am so thankful for the customer service rep on the phone for PC Financial.

I am in the process of switching over most of my accounts to PC, and I have three chequeing accounts with them (long story, needed two bank cards to separate out my accounts and that was the only way to do it)... I wrote a cheque to one of my dearest friends for a wedding gift. Yep, grabbed the wrong chequebook, and that account had $4 in it as a place holder... so I went online today to see a -$41.00 balance, and I was mortified. Not only did I bounce my first-ever cheque, I BOUNCED a WEDDING GIFT!!! How tacky is that?! So I called up PC all apologetic, and it was obvious I had the money, just in the other account. Thankfully they reversed the fee, which is awesome. And I email transferred my friend the gift I owed her. Oy!

But I am very thankful that it was for my good friend who knows it was a mistake and I could easily apologize to. Not like it's my landlord Either way, PC Financial was very nice about it, and I am happy about that.
