I am thankful our tickets are all set, and that we are going to Disney world on Saturday for 9 days and 8 nights. I am extremely thankful I have an awesome little brother to house sit for us on our vacation.

... for February 2014:
- new job this month
- nice coworkers at new job -- they celebrate everything, work as a team, help each other, strive for excellence in their work
- for all the good bargains on fruits and veggies, that stretch that hard earned buck
- for the weather. Yes. The weather: all this snow should result in bumper crops of Ontario fruits and veggies at a cheap price
- for the bargains on clothing: we are able to start our Christmas 2014 donations. Already have husky boys jeans -- teen boys get left out a lot at Christmas, and we are thankful that we can make a few guys happy later this year
- for the Winter Olympics: nice to celebrate with fellow Canadians for the golds in men's and women's hockey

I hope you're right about the inexpensive foods this year but prices on food have risen significantly recently.
With gas prices also rising, this will result in higher shipping costs which will in turn be passed on the the consumer.
Sorry to rain on your parade but that's what I believe.I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Oh there's always deals to be found but generally, prices have gone up.
While I can appreciate a good deal, other than flyer surfing and the odd coupon from shop.ca or P&G, I'm not much of a bargain hunter.
One thing though, when it comes to Canadian Tire, never, ever buy anything there for full price, all their merch goes on sale at some point during the year for over 50% off, which is really the real price of their goods.
And where in the Shwa did you find 2L of milk for 1.99? Was it a month past the expiry date??? LOLI can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Hey.hey hey.
A true SCer is a bargain shopper. LOL.
About the 2L Trutaste milk, expiry Mar 8 and bought Feb. 27 (?).
Loblaws. Was travelling for work and took advantage during lunch break.
Specifically at a Loblaws near a Target.
They are having unadvertised price wars.
Soooo, time for you to become a bargain shopperso you too can get
cheap fruits and veggies, cheap Kashi cereal (Target, $1.24, expiry April 2014), cheap milk, cheap meat, cheap turkey, cheap bread
And, we even got a cheap "new car" offer. End of Feb. LOLLast edited by Shwa Girl; Sat, Mar 1st, 2014 at 07:48 PM.

Glad it was mild enough for a walk (two walks, actually) and most of the ice on the public sidewalks has melted away.
Changing the calendar page to March-mood lifter!
(Next weekend, I might be moping the return of DST.)
