Very grateful to have Lily dog (& Quincy cat) in my life.


This afternoon (before the crazy thunderstorm moved in), Lily dog and I went out and sat on the benches overlooking our glamorous alleyway (our usual morning routine). A neighbour I`ve never spoken to (I recognized the car - we usually wave at him as he goes off to work in the mornings) drove past us, stopped and parked his car. He came over and said how happy he was to see us (didn`t mention that I was being lazy and sleeping in this week). He said that no matter how stressed he was about his day ahead or how cranky a mood he was in, when he sees Lily dog sitting beside me on the bench he can`t help but smile. And that we really make his day.

For him to take the time to come over and say that, just made me so very happy.

It`s funny, I never think of the impact we have on others, I sit out there cause Lily wants to watch people go by. Who knew that`s all it takes to brighten someone`s day.

Thankful to be home. After my brother's death I went back to England to be with my uncle who was very close to Steve. After 2 long, hard weeks I got home last night and I'm so happy and thankful for my wonderful, patient hubby and my own house and bed.

I left mine in a shopping cart twice. Both times it was turned in to the store by an honest person. It is a big relief.
