so, my guys simply asked management and they were both granted a total of 4 work days off ( LOA, split over 2 weeks ) . The Company is experiencing a real slow situation atm and as custom dictates they began laying off the ones at the bottom of the seniority list. This way my guys get a couple of 4 day weekends and the younger guys can stay employed.
I get the perk too cuz I can put my own guys to work here! ha ha

There is no way to make this short. ( sorry ) Pulled into Shell at the pump, another vehicle was in front of me at their pump.
I took my 3 cents off a L coupon inside and asked for 30 L on my pump. Paid, went out and the damn hose and nozzle didn't
quite reach my fuel opening as I was unable to pull up enough when i first arrived.
So I placed the nozzle back in the cradle. By then the guy in front of me had finished fueling and backed out, I pulled up a few
inches. When I lifted the nozzle the prompt said " you must pay inside before fueling ". WTF? So I grabbed my Scene cards and
receipt from inside the vehicle, went back to tell the girl inside what happened. No problem, the transaction was immediately voided
when I had put the nozzle back.
I just have to re-do the transaction, she even was able to use that 3 cents off coupon again! Then I look down and I'M NOT holding my
car keys!! Yep! They were placed on the front seat when I had searched for my cards and receipt. Locked them in!
I live close but too far to walk back to get DH's keys, both shift worker guys would never hear the answering machine phone if I called.
The attendant did me such a kindness by ordering me an Uber! ( I had called a taxi on their service phone and was told NO TAXI will be
sent there because there is an outstanding $22.00 charge owing to a driver. ) ha ha WTF? ( again )
So while I was outside a customer came over to me ( I must have looked stressed ) she asked if I needed help.
I never expected what she did for me! She told me to cancel the Uber ( so I did ) and she drove me to my house and waited as I yelled
up to my DS window and rang the bell. He came down, we found DH's keys and she drove me back to Shell!
Can you all believe the kindness of that sweet Angel? Iirc her name was Cherlynne ( sp? ) .
The extra sweet part was her 2 sons were in the back and while she was pumping her gas her older son ( about 8 yrs. ) asked me with
genuine concern if I was o.k. and what happened?
That apple does not fall far from his Mom's tree!!
