    That I'm able to be where it is warm and my for the hard work by my youngest daughter towards her recovery. For great friend and understanding people, and for my DH who loves me, even when I;m cranky.

    I am thankful that you can teach an old dog new tricks!

    I had the privilege of being educated this past weekend by my 10 year old daughter who is learning to skate. I've always been able to skate forward well enough to pass as a skater and not need to cling to the side of the rink...but I had never learned to skate backwards and my daughter taught me how to do that. I'm sure it made her giggle with pride to be able to teach her mom a thing or two. I need more practice at it, but I will get better.

    And...I had the privilege of being educated today by a man who is easily double my age on how to skate forwards faster and with less work involved. In other words, how to be a more efficient skater.

    So there you go: I am thankful for the opportunity to learn new things and for people willing to teach me!
