I experience thankfulness at various intervals in the day.
Starting when I begin a rant or a mental grumble over some insignificant thing.
That is when I stop myself and remember how freaking blessed we are to at least have our family bubble in one home.
That trumps everything else.

I am thankful that my niece's fever was not Covid. She and her whole family have already had it twice! Also for the box of Purdy's chocolates my DD just gave me-they leave tomorrow for Xmas with her boyfriend's family so we celebrated early!!

Thankful to have a wonderful video chat with family in TO and BC. It seems that we've all been watching Schitts creek and a few of us spoke like Moira and Alexis

I am thankful for a lot of things yesterday and today. While it poured yesterday, my family got together outside in a grocery parking lot (did the distancing thing) and exchanged greetings and gifts in the pouring rain. So even though we couldnt get together as a family for a big Christmas meal, we did see each other for a bit.
I am also thankful for not breaking anything, probably only a hairline fracture (not my first one). I was going up the stairs and i tripped again. As i fell i braced myself with my left arm on the stairs and i felt and heard a crunch noise in my upper left arm/shoulder. Im thankful that i can move my arm. I do have quite a bit of pain and doing the Tylynol thing. I cant hold anything heavy, not even a cup of coffee. Its useless to go to the hospital because i would have to wait about 8 hrs in emergency and be told to come back on Monday! No point. Besides i dont think i want to be in a hospital at this time. but if things become worse i will go. Right now i can manage.
I am thankful that i am not alone in the house and hubby is here to pick up the slack and cook and do the dishes, etc. lol

I have so many things to be thankful for today. I am thankful for the fact that hubby makes me a cup of tea every morning; thankful for my son who came over especially to deliver some milk and a bread which i forgot to buy; thankful for my daughter who calls everyday, twice a day, just to say hi; thankful for my grandkids who think their Mam is weird and fun; overall thankful for being an optomist and for having hope that this terrible virus will disappear in 2021 and that somehow we can all can back to a more regular life.

Going for a walk along the trail and hearing the distant sounds of kids skating and playing hockey on the frozen Bay.

That I am able to walk and do so outside, while knowing that many are not able to do so.
