You might have to wait a little longer to take that much-deserved trip.
Travel mile rewards company Aeroplan said Friday more points would be required to book some flights as of July 15 to simplify the program and "keep up with increases in the costs of providing flight rewards."

A business class round trip to Hawaii on Air Canada, for instance, will soon require 80,000 points, as oppose to 60,000. A long-haul business class trip within Canada or the U.S. will take an additional 10,000.
Some economy class rates will go up too.

"Aeroplan continues to offer flight rewards that are still amongst the best value in the industry, with rewards starting as low as 10,000 miles for a short-haul one-way ClassicFlight reward in economy class," said David Klein, vice president of marketing and innovation for Aeroplan.

Aeroplan also said it has enhanced its online booking tool for more choice and greater flexibility.
