I hope this is posted in the right place. If not, Mod, please move it to where it should be - chat, other??? Sorry, not use to the new changes, if moved, will know where to post in the future.

Help!!! Can anybody tell me which LD in the Vancouver area will allow me to buy more than 1 of the items I'm trying to price match? The LD at Brentwood Town Centre and the one at Joyce and Kingsway way only allow me to buy one quantity for each of the items I'm price matching. I hear of people buying more than one when they're price matching (3 pkgs of diapers, 3 pkgs of TP, etc.) and I've been told by the stores that they only allow one. However, when I emailed LD HO, I've been advised that it's up to the discretionary of the manager. Huh?!!!

Very frustrating to have to go there 2 or 3 times in one week just to buy something. I'm trying to buy items that are of good use and value to donate to various charitable organizations and can usually only do this 1 or 2 days a week as I only have about 2 hrs set aside for this.

I hope this will be a good thread starter as I'm sure other people come across the same problem whether they live in Vancouver, Surrey or wherever there may be an LD.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

London Drugs in New Westminster only allows PM to one item. I tried to get the L'Oreal Hair before from them PM to Shoppers, but they only allowed 1 to be PM.

The LD in Richmond (on no3 rd) has been pretty good for price matching most of the time. I've only had a problem once with one cashier who seems to make up her own rules (once she let me pm training pants and a week later she didn't...no idea why) anyway the other cashiers are awesome and have no problem letting you pm multiple items, however there is another CS who only lets you bring 10 items through customer service....but those 10 items can all be price matched, so it really depends who is on shift at the time

I think any price matching and coupon stacking should be done at the customer service counter. And sometimes even then they can't get it right.

LD in Guildford mall Surrey does price matches for more than 1 product, but they can be very picky about the details.. and it totally depends on the cashier or not.. some may be snotty b****es and some may be heaven sent. so its a hit or miss. also make sure to print out a copy of their coupon policy so you have a back up.

I've had LD in Guildford tell me that they're only supposed to do one, but she let me PM two of the same item "just this one time". Whatever, she was pretty snotty about it, so I do most of my LD shopping at another location.

I've heard good things about the one in Whalley, and I've not yet had a bad experience there. I've PM'd up to 6 of the same item there with no trouble. It's not the nicest part of Surrey, but I don't mind going there.

But as someone else said, sometimes it just comes down to which employee it is, no matter which location you go to.

Yes, Price Matching should be done at Customer Service desk. The cashiers do not have the authority to price match without calling over their supervisor, and the first supervisor on the hierarchy is likely the customer service desk person, unless they are on break. At least, this is my experience in Victoria, BC London Drugs.

Oh and company policy is that you can price match one of each item, but I don't know that most stores enforce this policy, especially on lower priced items (ie. under 2 dollars or even 5-10).

I agree the LD on Abbott and W Hastings one CS was great and accepted all coupons, but I was in today, and the CS would only let me use one coupon per transaction, and no printables over $3

There's a new policy at LD for internet printed coupons, I've been told of this at 3 different LDs, they can only be $3 or less, but what the cashier did for me was to just readjust the coupon to $3 even though it was for $4 off or something like that, she was really nice though. I believe it was the LD across from Surrey Central Station, they've been pretty nice about coupons. Another good LD is the one near Kingsway/Joyce, I always get a super friend Customer Service person.

Oh! I didn't read this one before I went. I am not sure did they change their rules again or what? But I've been buying more than 1 items doing price match. Also I have had no problem using printable coupons that valued more than $3. (The Ziploc one) But they do ask me not to cut the printable coupon 'caz they were asked to check the link on the button of the paper to make sure it's valued.
I always go to the one in New Westminster and have referred many friends there, none of them have had any problems before. If you don't mind of driving, go try that one.
