so i went into walmart just to get a couple of things, and thought what the hey ill try and see if they mark down my coupons, sadly they did but only one of them 0.0 i got 3 travel shave gels and used my 5 dollar coupon and they didnt mark it down but they did mark down my olay coupon which was for 5 dollars to 4 dollars. im very confuzzled over this i also asked a store manager if they had a copy of the coupon policy he said no that they will take any amount of coupons and follow what the coupon says.

Bring in your own copy of the policy, that's your best bet for situations like this.

as english is not my first langage.....
i'm a little confused here
the policy says
the excess amount can be given....etc...
am i right to think that it'S up to the store ?
unless the policy would say
....the excess amount must be given...etc...

"the excess amount can be given as cash or can be applied toward the basket purchase, at the customer's choice".
So that means that it is an either/or situation. Either they can give you cash or apply the overage to the rest of your purchases. The policy is definitely in your favour!

That's too bad
Today when I went they didn't seem to happy to have given me the overage, but the CS said that if my purchase total was more than $15 (the value of the coupons I was using) then it would be okay.

I've been getting the overage the last two times i've gone...but tried it with the GV ice cream cones & using the Up to $5 off cereal box coupon & WM wouldn't take off $5....so be careful with that one....I put the cones back & kept my coupon, lol

Since the new policy came out I have gotten the overages applied to my basket. I hope that next time you go, they adhere to the new policy!

WOW!!! I never knew the following:
When coupon value exceeds the price of the item:
• the excess amount can be given as cash or can be applied toward the basket purchase , at the customer's choice
THey are ALWAYS Marking down my coupons!! So now here's a question...I have a coupon for "up to $50" OFF OF ONE package of diapers. The largest size they sell is $25, SO will they apply the remaining $25 towards my order or not??
