Our old 55" projection tv is finally dying, so we are looking for the best deal on a new one. We are looking most likely at an LED and are Samsung fans, but would consider other major brands if it is a good deal. If anyone knows of a good deal out there, or a great price you paid for something in this range, it would give us an idea of what sort of bottom price point to look for. Also, are there any coupons, or other ways to get electronics deals? Thanks for the help everyone!

I do not know where you live, but there is a Samsung store on Victoria Park and Denison (Markham). I used to work near there and the prices of TV's especially were pretty reasonable.
Vizio- great TV. Great reviews. Great price. I have one.
Most of the LED TVs (or the lowend ones) are only LED backlit. Consider yourself been informed.
Personally, for the price difference and the above note, I would stick with LCD for now.
