Federal govt msp
Hi Everyone.
We got a deposit in our account on Saturday dated for tomorrow May 2nd for 305.14 for FEDERAL GOVT MSP. I have no idea what this is, and why we received it. I called the bank and they could not provide me with more information. Me and my hubby googled it to find some information on medical for BC, but we are in Ontario. I'm baffled. Anyone know what this can be?

not sure if this is what you mean,, I found this site
http://www.health.gov.bc.ca/msp/info...gible.html#who

tjthemanto might know the answer he seems to have a lot of information on government pay schedules

We never got anything deposited into our accounts this weekend :(

is there a chance you've been paying for MSP off a paycheck and you've paid too much?? or maybe you've purchased perscriptions at full price and they have finally given you a refund??

Midnightly seems to be onto something, that MSP is some kind of Medical Services Plan reimbursement. The document I found was that BC report about reimbursing doctors.
Are either of the OPs in the medical services business? If not, then call your CRA office and ask about the bankbook note. Retail sales tax branch in Ontario joined with CRA about a year ago-they are one and same now.
Outside chance that CRA made a mistake and could have deposited someone's money into OP's account by mistake.
I'm assuming you have direct deposit with the CRA. If not, then that means an error was made.

I work for the Federal Government and I get FEDERAL GOVT MSP deposits after I submit a SunLife claim. It's a refund for health care expenses that are covered by the Public Service Health Care Plan.

Thanks for the reply, Genna! Learned something new!

If you have health benefits through the public service / Sunlife group, this is the refund on a claim you made.
