Here are more details as requested:

Serene Med Spa sold hundreds of unlimited laser deals through various group buying sites (e.g. WagJag, etc) and they are overbooked. Their policy regarding cancellations is unless you give them 24 hour notice, they will charge your credit card $50 and cancel your voucher. There must be people who need to cancel/change their appointments just by the law of large numbers.

Now, if you cancel your appointment and try to reschedule a new one, it would be two months from now. Instead of cancelling your appointment, you can take my appointment, which is September 23, early afternoon and I will take yours. You win, because you don't have to go to the end of the line to schedule a new appointment (i.e. you get it on September 23, instead of mid October), I win because I can get my appointment sooner.

By the way, I asked the receptionist to give me a call if they have cancellations, but I don't expect to hear from them because this is not in their interest to fill canceled appointments:the deal is unlimited and they are not getting any incremental revenue from that.

Actually, here is a suggestion to moderators: there are a lot of unlimited laser deals and people need to cancel from time to time. As I explained, the spa will not bother to offer cancelled spot to other voucher holders because the deal is unlimited and they have already received the payment upfront. If you could create a thread where people could trade appointments if they need to cancel, we could all make these unlimited deals much more efficient.
