I have a ?
I went to my local SDM today , they had pads on for 1.99, i had a coupon for 2.00 off.. because the product wasnt 2.00 i had to purchase something else..is this always the way? cant they use the coupon and thats it ..or does it have to equal the amount of the coupon.. i am new at this, so i have no clue.. Thanks.

When I have done that they have always just adjusted the value of the coupon down to the amount of the product (i.e. $1.99). I'm pretty sure you should not have had to buy anything else.

i had no problem at zellers (I price matched) and shoppers...
i guess it depends on ur SDM and the cashier as well.

I work at SDM and the cashiers are told to adjust the coupon discount to the price of the product. Some are just not informed so you need to let them know. Otherwise the FSM's are usually quite helpful :-)

I've had cashiers at SDM mark the coupon down for me (often after checking with their manager) but I've also been told (by cashier and manager) that I couldn't use a $1 off coupon on a 99 cent item. I just try to remember which ones will allow it and stand in their lineup!
