Coupon policies?

I have been trying to get Multibionta vitamins from SDM and Jean Coutu all day and had to walk out of 3 stores. SDM would not let me use the coupon for $10 as the vitamins were $9.99, and Jean Coutu would not accept the coupon as the vitamins were already on sale for $9.99 I have calls in to both head offices for coupon policies. Does anyone have copies of coupon policies for any stores in the Ottawa area?

Shopper's Drug Mart posted their coupon policy online this week on Facebook

and it says...in their FAQ's



Q: I have a $2 coupon for a product, but sometimes the sale price for it is only $1.99. Can I use this coupon for this product during the sale?

A: Yes, you can. Our cashiers will enter the actual price for the item with the coupon code, instead of the printed price. In this case, they will enter the coupon value as $1.99 instead of $2. No change will be provided.

Just wanted to give you an update. I called Multibionta and told them about the crappy time I had trying to use their $10 coupons and that I finally bought six boxes on sale for $9.99. I was told to send the receipt as well as the coupons in which I did a month or so ago. Today I received a cheque for $60 as well as two free boxes of Multibionta. I am very happy with Multibionta.
