Lawtons- The cashier wanted to ring in each seperately and said she wasn;t going to get anything else done that night. I said "Good thing you get paid by the hour and laughed it off" to which she replied yeah but I got other things to be at besides this. She also tried to refuse me coupons saying the print was too small several times. Still waiting for a call back from Lawtons.
WM last night (East End)- Feel real bad about the people behind us last night. Had a csm actually raise her voice at my friend and I over a scanning code of practice and using coupons. She tried to tell me an item was price ticketed the week before when it was not. Just that type that "doesn't want to give it to you". Sad when you follow all the rules and you hit road blocks from people like this. I declined speaking to a manager initially and my friend and I got our bags in the car and mixed the baby's bottle and went back in to get the assistant manager on duty. Only to find the csm named Michelle talking about myself and my friend to another csm and a cashier. Not sure where it is appropriate to talk about customers in the middle of the front end when you think they have left????????? It was embarrasing and unacceptable. Spoke to assistant mgr about this.
I called and spoke to the store manager this morning because I woke up still upset about how we were treated. Also one of my coupons for dip (Buy 2 tostitos get 1 free dip) did not get entered so I was overcharged 3.97.
As of now I am not planning on returning to walmart.
As for Lawtons last week, they did not follow up since and I am really wondering what the retail world had come to. I always follow the rules and cashiers seem to think you are stealing. Do they not realize how much time and effort goes into tracking deals, sorting and clipping and ordering coupons?! This is legit. Not some elaborate scam.
omg that is horrible :( sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. I usually find that walmart pretty good. I can only imagine how upset you must feel. Hope you get something out of this, you deserve it.
I had an experience at zellers yesterday, need some advice on what to do. I picked up 6 bottles of dawn dishsoap for $0.88 was going to use my save $1 wub2. I get up to the cash and the older lady cashier said "I can't give it to you for that price, it's a good enough deal anyway" I was ahh I don't think it's up to you to decide to sell me something or not because you feel it's too good of a deal, that's ridiculous . she said well it kinda is seeing I'm the manager. I was in shock. I walked out of the store with nothing :( and feeling HORRIBLE!!!!! I'm still trying to get over it today, not knowing what to do :(
Had a rough time today with the coupons. Colemans would not accept my free ice cream coupon! I had two and knowing the troubles with using more than one of the same coupons at this location I gave one to my mom. She checked out before I was ready and she came looking for me to tell me that they wouldn't take it. I asked the cashier "why?" and she said she was told not to take it. There was a big line of people and I said really loud "That's ok. I will just take it to Foodland. No problem.". My mom told me after that she got lipy with my mom and said that I won't be able to get it up to Foodland either because Scotsburn don't take them. She said that when they finds out up there I won't be getting my ice cream there either. Mom said she was not very nice. Anyways, after that, instead of picking up my all my groceries there like I intended to, I put most of the things back and only bought a couple of sales items and fruit (their's is the freshest) and then went to Foodland for all my other stuff. They took TWO of the free ice cream coupons plus a free skinny cows cp plus a bunch of other coupons with no problem. Guess who will get my business from now on?

OMG!! I can't believe how rude this cashier was to you:rant: I would make a call to Zellers head office and let them know about your experience at this store. there's no need to be treated like that! I think i might take a run in there tomorrow for this deal.. hope i get the same lady you had:lol:

this makes me so mad:rant: it seems lately us couponers are being treated unfairly!
OK, so here is my idea. Just like the cashiers seem to be black marking us...... let's black mark them. I think we should rally together meet at all the stores we have had trouble at and use every damn coupon we have... pick up all the items. (The ones we don't actually want...shagg it, we will back up customer service from here to Nova Scotia. Get in the line ups one after another, price match EVERYTHING. If they want to make a fuss about taking our coupons.... let's give them a reason to complain.
As for zellars- Not acceptable. She might be the manager but she doesn't own the place. Go back or contact their head office.
I am seriously sick of people who work in retail (Not all of them-I know) thinking they own the place. Even better yet, I am sick of them thinking they can walk all over a customer. Whatever happened to the customer is always right?
Icecream coupon issue- Ah what does scotsburn have to do with that.... I don't think the cashier jots down the mailing address of the manufacture of the icecream for the store to get their money. Pretty sure it just goes to a rebate office. She needs some educating.
OMG that sounds amazing. Can you imagine the look on their faces if we had to do that. They would be talking about us for years to come LOL but how much fun would it be :)
OMG! I so wish I was closer to you guys so we could do that!! Can you imagine?!?! That would be so awesome!
About the Scotsburn thing...I know! It goes to General Mills...not Scotsburn! I didn't know that she said this stuff until AFTER I left the store. If I knew it when I was there she would have got an earfull from me!
Hello everyone! Greetings from Torbay! I had trouble using the FPC for ice cream a cpl of weeks ago at Dominion... the cashier said "It's good for general mills only" and I had a pile of people behind me just looking at me, so I said "that's fine" and took it to use for another time.... I didn't want to argue with him because he didn't really seem like he understood anything at all lol... :s
I haven`t tried to use those yet but I have one in the cupboard and I tell you someone will be taking it.
If he had told me that I would have told him to doddle on down to the freezer and get me the first general mills icecream he finds and not to come back until he had one. :lolsign:
Oh and one last thing- I called Lawton's headoffice on Friday and left a VM letting them know I have had no follow up. Got an apologie call on Monday and was told I will have no more issues using my coupons at the Lawtons location. So yay!
