i was in WM today and they would not let me use the save $4 wub2 coupon on their $1.48 ziploc bags. They said they can not give you money back or put it toward other items. if i have been reading right on this web site a lot people have been doing that. it clearly says in their coupn policy
that when coupon value exceeds the price of the item the excess amount can be given as cash ao can be applied toward the basket purchase,at the customer's choice!
if i am wrong or misunderstanding something can somebody please clear that up for me!

Same thing happened to me with a newer cashier. The manager came and explained her that yep she had to apply the overage.
The manager was more than aware about the policy.

I had the same problem at one of the walmarts here in surrey,bc I told the manager where to stick the coupons because she had told me that they do not accept printable coupons, which isnt true because I had the policy right there, then she turn around to say that the coupons i had just used the other day were fake, I told her were to go, I know the policies and rules, then she said the barcode doesnt scan well DUH here in canada we dont have coupons that scan yet.... I tell yeah I was tooo Mad I left my groceries and everything and walked out of walmart and went to the one in langley were they took my coupons with no problem.

I just wish that the people that work in the Canadian Stores realize that we do not have the correct machines to be able to scan the barcodes on the coupons, as of right now they are just too look it over to make sure that it has to the realitor or Manufacture on it, and it states that its valid in Canada, but clearly all the Managers dont want to realize that and they like to make US COUPONERS pisssed off due to the fact that we know the rules and policies better then they think we do. We been doing this for way to long but clearly they want to piss us all off.... Thats what I think.... SOrry Had To VENT!!!!!

No Kidding, I only watched that show once... and I think its ridiculous on some of the people, I am not racism but most of the people who stockpile hardcore a bigger then normal. They get so much food, and products that could last them a million years, I understand if you get products that you need, or if you get sick or is unable to work, but you dont need to BE THAT EXTREME.... I realize that some people only do it because they feel that they have accomplished something and that is what they are best at, But I will tell you that they will most likely be on the NEXT HOARDER show... If they keep doing what they do...

im definately printing out that wm coupon policy and taking it with me next time... kind of sad that we as customers have to point out the policy to them? Dont they have cashier meetings once in a while so that they can all be on the same page?
WM was out of the ziplocs today so I got a raincheck for 6 (thats all they would give me). I took the WM flyer over to Zellers for a price match.... they did do the price match but they would not ring in my "save $4 wub2 coupon".... Instead she rang in the coupon for 1.48 instead, I just didnt have the energy at that point to argue... I dont think her till is going to balance at the end of the day, seeing as her coupons are not going to match what she rang in!Last edited by scrapyddm; Thu, May 12th, 2011 at 11:25 PM.

i used 6 of these coupons tonight, as well as a bunch of olay coupons that also gave me overages, with no problems at all. i ended up getting $50+ worth of stuff for $10. if a cashier gives you a hard time you should always call for a manager, and if the manager gives you a hard time, call for another manager - that's what i do! i always get my way in the end

Haha.. I had the HEAD manager give me a hard time, I was so pissed off that I just left all my groceries and everything with a line up behind me and walked right out of the store. I just went to a different walmart and they took all my coupons without a problem, they even called the manager and my first thoughts were OMG are you serious, not again! lol but she said that they were good and i was able to use them... and I used like 20 of the $4 wub 2 zip loc not all at once of course. I use them for big event and shelters so its not like Im being selfish plus i also donate to shelters. lol how some walmarts works

to walmarts defense that coupon does not have "manufacturer coupon" written on it which is a part of their new guidelines and if you used 20 of them then you probably printed them from a PDF file (sorry if I am assuming incorrectly) like many other have done, so they are technically fraudulent coupons and there are a few walmarts that have caught onto that and not accepting them anymore.

yah i would say this has to do with the mass abuse of that coupon lately. maybe some WM are cracking down realizing they may not get reimbursed. that coupled with the fact WM is saying they dont HAVE a policy anymore might be the problem.

I have made it a point to email the companies that offer printable coupons and explain that most stores won't accept them, they always mail me coupons so I don't have to deal with that.

I have had the same issue here in Niagara Falls walmart. One cashier and manager will do one thing, while the next trip they won't allow it.
For my daughters similac for example, I have discount cheqs and coupons, I tried using them had no problem, the last time I went they said no its one or the other, even after I told them I have never had any problems before. One girl in my town emailed walmart about their policy on it and the manager said, that we could use both. One works as a coupon while the other as a check.
Then I had the same problem with my light bulbs and ziplock bags, I could only use 5 coupons, then the other cashier would only deduct the $1.48 off leaving me to pay the $1.48. I will be printing off the policies as well and having them stored in my coupon book for next trips.
