PS3 deals?

Is there anywhere I can find a PS3 for less than $299.99? It looks like those are the prices at Best Buy, Newegg, and Shoppers Drug Mart. And I have 50,000 optimum points, so it might be the best bet to redeem points and buy it at Shoppers. Any suggestions?

Not sure what Blockbuster has on for trade In's but they had a really good deal a while back ago I beleive 4.00 a DVD I had tons and end up only paying 100.00 for PS3 still in its box waiting to get a game and more controllers lol but a start!

Yes, Gamestop/EB Games has used PS3 consoles for as low as $149.

However, if you ARE getting an older model, be sure it has wifi (the 20gb model, first generation PS3 does NOT have wifi)

If you're concerned about harddrive capacity, you can upgrade your harddrive yourself... buy ANY 2.5-inch SATA harddrive and follow a guide found on Sony's PS3 blog site... and you're upgraded. (your friendly neighbourhood computer geek can handle it, if you arent comfortable doing it)

Thanks for the advice. My live-in bf is actually my friendly neighbourhood geek...except for the PS3 is supposed to be a gift for him lol
I'll look into EB games, and maybe see if his friends can help me figure it all out.

I just bought a 2 month old ps3, with 6 games, 2 controllers, bluetooth headset and bluray remote for 200 bucks off Kijiji. A lot of people right now are looking to dump the PS3 and go to xbox so a lot of great deals can be had.
