Here's a little tip for people whose store refuses to take the M & M card with no purchase. If you head to the tools section, go to the aisle with nuts, bolts, screws, etc. Look for the tiny drawers and you pick one, put it in a bag (located right on the actual drawers) and write the code from the drawer onto the bag (there is a space on the bag for you to write on). The item you are looking for is a tiny washer, code 8750-0 and it costs 5 CENTS. If you have any 5 cent CT money lying around, use it to pay for the washer (but bring a penny for tax).

Went to Canadian Tire yesterday in Scarborough and one of the ladies there cashing out won the $5,000 giftcard. That was an awesome win for her seeing it's a 1 in 3 chance of winning.

Went back this morning at 9am to see if there was any Tide left and went to get the paper towels on sale and when cashing out, there was a huge argument with this man, his wife and the cashier. Both the husband and wife were yelling so loud at the cashier about paying 6 cents for a bag. Can you believe that? The entire store was staring at them and the cashier asked management to step in and ask them to calm down. One of the cashiers was telling me that there have been several arguments over the weekend with customers and cashiers and it's due to these winner cards. Sad I must say!

In Toronto its the law to charge 6 cents for the bag ..the retailer has no control over it ..its mandatory ( By Law imposed by the city ) ..don't know why they were making such a big deal over it ..the retailer can actually get fined in Toronto if they don't charge for plastic bags .

Not always the same promo though. Last time you weren't guaranteed to win anything. The majority of the cards were duds.
