Dollarama seems to have good stuff, I buy from them often enough... nothing bad has happened yet. Mind you, I buy everything but the toys there. Food included.

found a new one and will merge some of the old ones in this.
On October 5, 2007 we announced the voluntary recall of Energizer’s Pirates of the Caribbean Medallion Squeeze Light. The product is no longer in production and has been removed from retailers’ shelves.
In some samples tested through quality verification screening, the company identified that the leather strap attached to the medallion squeeze light contained paint with lead levels exceeding applicable Canadian standards.
To read our news release of the recall, click here (PDF 23 KB).
We regret this inconvenience. Energizer is currently revaluating its testing policies and procedures to ensure that all of its products meet or exceed government standards, and provide the assurance of quality and safety to its consumers.
A picture of the recalled product is shown below.

Ok, I think that is all of them merged, if you find more that fit in this category PM me and I will merge.. do you think I should sticky this in the parent section for others to see and add to as more recalls come out?

Thanks for merging all of these threads BCT
Anyway, this is so crazy, that I am boycotting the large chain stores, and will be only shopping at local or larger Canadian stores.
I just got a catalogue from a company called Grand River Toys, I am going to check them out...I like the selection of toys they have.
The prices may be a bit higher, but I think this is my best solution

Infant cough medicines are being withdrawn from the market due to safety concerns with accidental overdoses.
There are more than 700 prescription and non-prescription cough and cold medicines sold in Canada, but only a handful – those intended for infants – are being withdrawn. They include: Tylenol Cold Dye Free Drops, Benylin for Infants Cough and Cold Drops, Benylin for Infants Stuffy Nose Infant Drops, Dimetapp Oral Infant Cold Drops, Dimetapp Oral Infant Cold and Fever Drops, Dimetapp Oral Infant Cold Drops Dye Free and Life brand Oral Infant Cold Drops.
