evening Q sters,

it has been thundering & lightening here for a couple of hours now. kitty cats don't like it. weasel runs off growling at the thunder, smokey hides under the bed & fluffy tries to get herself in the smallest cubby hole possible.

My Dad had that machine back in '95'. It gives you a steady drip, like one drop every 10-12 minutes depending on the dosage but allowed him to give himself a bump once every hour if he needed it. When they first set it up for him they almost killed him by overdosing him. They had set up the machine to give the same dosage as he was taking his pill form forgetting that in liquid form and intravenously, morphine hits your system quicker and more potently. If it wasn't for the palative care worker noticing the symptoms and knowing how to counter act the morphine he would have died within an hour after we noticed he wasn't conscious.
