Special Weather Statement in Effect

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto as significant rainfall is expected to start up Tuesday afternoon. 15-25 millimeters of rain is expected in some areas of the GTA by Wednesday.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto and the GTA with rain expected to hit the region on Tuesday night.
The national weather agency says the statement is not for the amount of rainfall – which is expected to be between 15 to 25 millimetres – but for the ground not being able to absorb the water.
“Although rainfall amounts are not expected to be overly significant, the ground has a reduced ability to absorb further rainfall due to recent rains and snowmelt,” the statement reads.

Shutting Down Scalper Bots?

Attorney General Yasir Naqvi is to make an announcement Tuesday morning about the buying and selling of concert and other tickets in Ontario. Naqvi will be joined by Kingston M-P-P Sophie Kiwala, who has introduced a private member's bill aimed at banning ``scalper bots'' that scoop up huge blocks of tickets -- shutting out regular fans who are forced to go to expensive ticket resellers.

Today Is...

At one time or another, all of us have been visited by the tooth fairy. So, it should come as no surprise that somewhere along the line, Tooth Fairy Day was born. The tooth fairy has been around since at least the Middle Ages, although the exact origins are still unknown. Interestingly enough, the exact date of celebration is under conjecture; some claiming it falls in February while others state that it is held in August. This actually makes a bit of sense, for we have yet to find a way to leave a coin or a snack for the fairy, as we're not even sure if they have a pillow!

That explains a lot. Wasn't sure i was on the right station when i 1st heard them. Had to recheck my radio setting, then heard the Q107 station call, figured they changed things again. It also explains why John Scholes was on before 3 pm today.

I checked the station settings too.... looks like they're making a lot of changes trying to get their ratings up....
