Another frigid, windy day. I happy this is happening during March break, otherwise traffic issues would be a lot worse. Warmer temps are on the way the end of this week.
Hwy. 401 in Eastern Ontario Still Closed After Crashes Left 1 Dead, 28 Injured
Collisions involving about 30 vehicles on a highway east of Toronto left one person dead, sent 28 others to hospital and caused a chemical spill that prompted road closures on Tuesday.
OPP said their investigation revealed there were two separate collisions that happened at about the same time on Highway 401 near Kingston, Ont., because of icy roads and blowing snow.

Canadian Students Asked to Submit Google Doodle Design for Canada’s 150
Google is asking Canadian students to submit a design for the banner atop the search engine home page to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.
Students from kindergarten to Grade 12 have until May 2 to submit a Google doodle based on the theme “What I see for Canada’s future is…”
The winning student’s doodle – to be judged on “artistic merit, creativity and originality” – will be displayed on the Google.ca homepage for a day.

There are a couple of references made when we are speaking of a great betrayer. One, of course, took 30 pieces of silver to turn in Jesus Christ. The other was Marcus Junius Brutus Minor, known to most as “Brutus” or more simply “Et tu Brute?”
So why dedicate a day to this most heinous of individuals? This slayer of Kings and betrayer of friends? Because Brutus Day, the Ides of March reminds us that even in this modern age, betrayal, subterfuge, and back-stabbing is still alive and well.
