The City of Toronto is under an extreme cold weather alert on the second day of spring.
The warning came on Tuesday morning, with temperatures set to plummet on Wednesday.
There’s a high of 11 C in Tuesday’s forecast, 680 NEWS meteorologist Jill Taylor said, but that will drop to -9 C overnight, with a wind chill near -20.
The forecasted high for Wednesday is just -2 C, with a wind chill near -10.
CityNews weather specialist Frank Ferragine said it would be a “roller coaster ride of weather,” with northwest winds between 30 and 50 kilometres an hour.

Good thing i'm not a weather specialist. They were talking about rain overnight & into Tuesday morning till noon. We have bright sunshine & it's not too cold, but it's going to drop like a rock
