Nothing But April Showers

It’s been nothing but April showers to start the month and that will continue today. A special weather statement has been lifted by Environment Canada but we are still in for a pretty soggy Tuesday. We’re expecting 15-30mm of rainfall in the city by this evening.

According to a recent analysis, April showers more often than not do not bring May flowers. So kill the childhood nursery rhyme. I prefer to think so.

Blizzard Drags on in Newfoundland; 75 cm of Snow Expected in Some Areas

Much of Newfoundland is stilling dealing with blizzard like conditions and Environment Canada says snowfall and high wind conditions will continue today. Snow totals in hard-hit Gander had already reached 51 cm by last night and could reach 75 cm in Gander and elsewhere in newfound by the time the day is over. Sorry Newfiescreach.
