Another Hot One For GTA
It felt like summer in the city for the past day or so and the mild weather will continue into this afternoon with the mercury set to top 28 degrees.
We flirted with the 30-degree mark yesterday but didn’t come close to breaking the May 17th temperature record of 34 degrees. Seasonal average for this time of year is about 19 degrees.

Chris Cornell Dead at 52
He had one of the most iconic voices in alternative rock -- Chris Cornell has died at the age of 52.
Cornell, best known for his role as the front man of Soundgarden and later Audioslave, was found dead in the bathroom of his hotel room early this morning. There are early reports suggesting the death was a suicide but that has not been confirmed.
Cornell was staying at the MGM Grand in Detroit after playing at the Fox Theatre. An initial statement from his representative called the death sudden and unexpected.
Bautista's Bat Flip Causes Benches to Clear For Second Time
Tensions were high in Atlanta as the Jays suffered another loss. However the loss was over shadowed by a pair of incidents, the most glaring coming from Kevin Pilar who appeared to yell what some are calling a homophobic slur at Braves pitcher Jason Mott, who just struck him out.
Benches cleared after Pillar’s outburst but the teams returned to the dugout without further incident that inning. The following inning, Jose Bautista launches a solo home run to make it 8-4 and flips his bat, leading to another bench-clearing altercation.
