Customers must pre-pay at Ontario Husky gas stations
If you're stopping to fill your tank at a Husky gas station starting today, you'll have to pre-pay either at the pump or inside the store. The idea is to minimize gas and dash incidents. A Toronto man was recently sentenced to life in prison after striking and killing a gas station attendant 5 years ago.
The new rule has been in effect for the last couple of months out west as the Alberta government brought in mandatory pre-pay legislation after the deaths of five gas station workers over the last three years.
