Snow on the way for Toronto, GTA

The wintery weather has finally arrived, and it's going to get worse. A special weather statement is in effect as Toronto could see as much as 10 centimetres of snow by tomorrow morning -- as much as 15 for areas north of the city. An Alberta Clipper is expected to arrive this afternoon and stick around until tomorrow morning. Some areas north of the city are already dealing with a good dusting this morning so drivers might want to give themselves a bit more time on their way in to work.

Dec. 11 declared 'Reds Day' in Toronto to honour TFC's MLS Cup win

After a record-setting season and a triumphant win avenging last year’s crushing defeat, the TFC’s first MLS Cup victory is being officially marked for posterity by the City of Toronto. Along with the victory parade to be held in their honour on Monday, Dec. 11 has been declared “Reds Day” in Toronto, The parade will start at the ACC before arriving outside new city hall for a fan rally. Double decker buses will carry players and coaches during the parade which gets under way at 11:45am. Torontonians are encouraged to wear red to show their “support, pride and appreciation” for the TFC on Reds Day. Toronto beat Seattle 2-nil on Saturday for the title.
