Thanks Jester, yes we do have a fireplace which helped but with 3 floors, the other 2 get pretty chilly, yes at least it wasn't way below 0! The guy came today and was able to fix the furnace so it's okay again. Boy does it ever get uncomfortable though with no heat!!!!

I often think about the poor homeless puds out there in the winter, so glad there are organizations including the THS that put out some little shelters for them to go into......

Trudeau says cannabis will become legal 'next summer,' not July 1

We know recreational marijuana will be legal by next summer but now the actual date is up in the air. Iin an interview last night with a Quebec based network, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shook his head when the interviewer asked why July 1st was chosen as the date for cannabis legislation to become law. Trudeau told him he doesn’t even know where that date came from but it will not be Canada Day. A few of the provinces have asked for more time to prepare for the new law.

Jeopardy host Alex Trebek is feeling the heat after his comment to a female contestant. Trebek has been accused of making a sexist remark towards a female Jeopardy! contestant who was in the Army. While speaking about the career path of retired Army Master Sergeant, Lisa Beth Davis, the longtime host said blatantly: 'That must be really tough for a woman.' He said in the careless comment that it must be difficult because 'a master sergeant is giving orders most of the time,' while inquiring, 'how was it for you?' Davis gave Trebek a slight smirk, noting she's pretty bossy and since she was the oldest sibling was used to telling people what to do. Twitter lit up with comments like ‘WTF Trebek’ and ‘it's the tail end of 2017, not 1957.’
