Judge rules today on criminal charges against Dalton McGuinty aides
A verdict is expected today in Ontario’s gas-plants scandal. Senior staff members to former Liberal Premier Dalton McGuinty are accused of attempted mischief and illegal use of a computer.
Prosecutors alleged David Livingston and Laura Miller illegally destroyed records to save the party embarrassment over a decision to cancel two gas plants in 2011. The defence argued they wanted to delete personal data -- not documents that had to be kept. McGuilty should be apart of this too, as well as our illustrious premier.

Tim Hortons protests to expand beyond Ontario, 50 rallies planned
Tim Horton’s workers will be feeling the love today, just not from their employer. Today marks a national day of action in support of Tim Horton’s workers.
Following widespread revelations that Tim Horton’s workers were losing paid breaks and benefits in response to Ontario’s increase to the minimum wage, the labour movement, community organizations, and the broader public mobilized to protest the rollbacks.
Rallies are being held at more than 40 Tim Horton’s locations from coast to coast today. It’s all being organized by the Ontario federation of labour. I wish I had paid breaks & my birthday with pay off as well. None of my employers ever gave us that.
