Toronto's murder toll increases to 80

Make it 80 homicides for Toronto this year, just nine off the record of 89 in 1991. A man in his 20s was shot and killed outside of a community centre near Don Mills and Sheppard last night. Witnesses reported hearing several gun shots in the area around 8pm. The victim was found a short time later and pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made and police have yet to release any suspect info.

Blue Jays fans boo former closer Roberto Osuna

There was not much love for former Blue Jays closer Roberto Osuna last night. He was booed loudly in his first appearance at the Rogers Centre since being dealt to Houston. Because he is in town, Osuna could make his first court appearance this morning, as he faces assault charges in connection with an alleged domestic incident. He was arrested back in May. Osuna is expected to plead not-guilty.
