Striking postal workers extend walkout in GTA for a second day

Another day, another walk out by Canada Post workers here in the GTA. What was supposed to be a 24-hour strike at two of Canada’s busiest postal sorting plants was extended at midnight. Yesterday’s job action forced delays in shipments of tens of thousands of letters and parcels across the country as Canada Post employees stepped up pressure to back their contract demands. The move is also making for some frustrated pot smokers who are still waiting for their cannabis to arrive, now a full week after legalization took effect.

As another rate hike looms, more Canadians feel closer to insolvency

Canada’s central bank governor is widely expected to boost the country's interest rate by another quarter of a percentage point to 1.75 per cent this morning. Canada's key interest rate was last left unchanged at 1.5 per cent during the bank's last policy meeting, back in September. Today’s potential hike would be the fifth increase since the summer of last year And it could also nudge a growing number of Canadians burdened by debt closer to insolvency.

We're almost to the end of the week & Halloween is less then a week away. I'm guessing there will be a few Halloween parties this weekend as Halloween is on a Wednesday.
A week tomorrow is the open of Bohemian Rhapsody, the Freddie Mercury story. Looking forward to seeing that movie.
