Nylander to speak to media Monday

William Nylander will speak to the media later today. After months of negotiations, the Leafs winger inked a 6-year, $41.1M deal over the weekend, just minutes before the 5pm Saturday deadline. The Maple Leafs are off -- they will skate in Buffalo tomorrow night.

On a stormy night the passengers go down like ten pins.
Kinda like dominoes, once one goes, they all go.
It's hilarious.
Unfortunately, the rest of the time they're just obnoxious.

Acutally, Carnival in our favourite cruise line.
But our last cruise in August was with Norwegian. I like them too.

If you think about it, during a storm you can tell the drunk passengers. They are the ones walking in a straight line, while the the sober passengers are walking from side to side down the corridors.

It's been a rough sad night. Just before midnight, the last of my 3 cats passed away. She had a long good life of 19.5 years. She took ill a week ago & we were hoping to nurse her back, but God had other plans for her. She's with her other 2 sisters in Cat Heaven. I will miss her dearly, as I miss the other 2. I know our furry friends can't live forever, but it still hurts, none the less. They are family & losing a family member is heartbreaking. RIP Weasel, love you always.

I went car shopping over the weekend. My old jalopy is starting to show its age. I don't know what I am looking for, so I am getting a head start on what is out there and what I would like to have versus what I can afford. Yes, I have champagne tastes, but a beer budget.

New Toronto city council term begins

Today marks the first day for the new 25-member city council at Toronto City Hall. It was dwindled down by nearly half as part of a mandate issued by Premier Doug Ford. On the docket for the new council today -- the review of a staff report that was released last week, outlining how to govern with such a big reduction of councillors.

York police to publish names of people charged with impaired driving

Police in York Region will now publish the name of every person charged with impaired driving-related offences in an effort to curb what they have called a distressing trend. Last weekend alone, 6 drivers were charged and 27 criminal charges were laid in connection with impaired driving. So far this year, 1400 charges have been laid for impaired driving-related offences in the region and five people have died in collisions where impaired driving was a contributing factor.

Raptors fall to Nuggets; snap eight-game win streak

The Toronto Raptors' eight-game winning streak came to an end at the hands of Canadian Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets on Monday. Murray, from Kitchener, Ont., had 21 points to help lead the Nuggets to a 106-103 victory over Toronto, and Denver's sixth consecutive win.

I currently drive a car, but I am tired of all these SUV's wanting to go in front of me and I can't see around their fat arses. I would prefer a car, but I am definitely leaning toward an SUV. So far, the Jeep Cheorkee and the Nissan Murano are wowing me. Lots more to see and I am not in a hurry, so I'll check everything out.
