Wild changing weather day in store for the GTA

It’ll be a sloppy and possibly slick start to the morning commute. A special weather statement is in effect as snow mixed with freezing rain is expected across the GTA this morning but Environment Canada says the good news is that it will be short lived, with the switch to rain happening around midday. The down side however, we'll be back to sub-zero temperatures by Friday. We do have several bus cancellations for areas outside the city. School bus service has been cancelled for all boards in Caledon and Dufferin counties. A number of airlines have issued travel advisories including Air Canada, West Jet and Porter. The GTAA is reminding air travellers that this morning's weather could affect their flight status so you might want to check ahead of time.

Pride Toronto members won’t allow uniformed police to march in the parade

For the third consecutive year members of Pride Toronto have voted against allowing the city's uniformed police officers from participating in the parade. The decision to keep them out was made by a very slim margin last night of 163-161 votes. Oddly, the vote comes about three months after the organization had lifted a ban on uniformed officers taking part in the annual event, saying the force was welcome to apply to this year's festival. Uniformed officers were first banned from the parade in 2017 over concerns of racial profiling and again in 2018 over criticism the force had not taken the disappearances of several men missing from the city's gay village seriously.

Raptors down Kings to win 10th straight at home

Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet each had 19 points and four other Raptors scored in double figures Tuesday as Toronto downed the Sacramento Kings 120-105 to extend its season-high home winning streak to 10 games.

1 week from today, I will be in Florida, enjoying the warmer temps, before boarding the boat to sail thru the Panama Canal.
Enjoy Mexico, Rockit. Where abouts in Mexico will you be visiting? You'll enjoy the warmth there for sure.

I should look into booking a cruise through the Panama Canal sometime.

You'll be on a ship full of loud, obnoxious, smoking New Yorkers
and people from "Jersey" telling you how great "the city" is the whole trip.
There are other departure ports for a Panama crossing.
People on the cruise with you and the cruise line you choose
make a BIG difference whether you enjoy the cruise or not.
