Just received a text that my boss & his wife are at the hospital. Her water broke & the arrival of their 1st rodent is due anytime. It's a girl & her name is Eleanor. She was due last Caturday, but didn't want to come out in the frigid weather. That's the end of sleep for them.
FYI, 11 more months till Christmas. :P
2 arrested in Kingston raids related to major national security probe
It’s being called an 'ongoing national security investigation' with the involvement of the FBI and we'll hear more from the RCMP this afternoon following the arrests of two people in a series of raids on residences in Kingston.
Mercedes Stephenson from Global News’s Ottawa bureau tells us those arrested include one adult and a minor. A senior government official says the situation is ''contained,'' there's no threat to public safety and the country's threat level has not changed. More information will be revealed at a media briefing today.

TTC board approves 10-cent fare hike to take effect April 1
Delays in the morning, a fare hike in the afternoon. -- On the very same day TTC riders faced major subway delays during their morning commute, the better way board green lit a fare hike by the time they were headed home.
The hike will take effect April 1st and will see all fares jump by 10-cents with the exception of cash fares, which will stay put at $3.25. TTC staff says the increase could provide roughly $26 million in added revenue. This is the eighth fare hike in ten years but the TTC says the average fare increase over the last two years remains below the rate of inflation.
NHL all-star weekend begins tonight with skills competition
The fastest skater and hardest shot competitions are among the six individual events taking place tonight at the NHL All-Star Skills Competition in San Jose. The All-Star game goes tomorrow, departing from the league's tradition of hosting the mid-season showcase on Sundays.
