TGIF Q sters,

We've made it to the weekend! I get this 1 off from work, but still have to help my parents pack & get rid of their things. They sold their house & are moving into a condo. It will seem weird to them, but there will be less work for them to do. No more grass cutting, raking of leaves, worrying whether the roof needs fixing & stuff like that. Their new place has been completely redone, so they just need to move in. They have a terrace so in the spring, Dad can plant some veggies & flowers in some pots.

It's National Taco Day - which is a bit weird that it's today. You would think they (whoever "THEY" are) would have made National Taco Day on a Tuesday. Personally I think any day of the week is a good day for a taco. Yummy!

That is exactly what my mom did last year! This is the best thing your folks could do.


When my mom moved to Barrie last year, she was a bit stressed because of downsizing and moving, but she has fully adjusted and participates in most of the building's activities. No, it is not an old folks home. It is a real condo, but there are a good number of senior citizens there. All the neighbours know my mom, but my mom has a hard time remembering everyone's names. She calls her condo, "The Country Club". Yes, it is indeed the best thing that she did.

We could also call it Fiesta Friday!!

They are in a similar condo, not a retirement home. Mum is also stressed with having to part with some things that they've had over the last 63 years. I know as soon as this is all done, they will be much happier.

Very true, a few more weeks & they will be out. I think it will be good for them & easier to manage.
