We've made it to the weekend, a long weeknd. The 1st & only long weekend of the Fall. Turkey weekend.
Today will be another beautiful day, tomorrow a wet one, Sunday will be nice for Thanksgiving, then the weather takes a turn for the cooler side next week.

Thanksgiving in Canada can be traced back to Martin Frobisher in 1578. He came from England in search of a way to get to the Orient by going north. While he never found the passage, he did establish what later became Newfoundland and Labrador.
After a mediocore series, Astros came to life & beat the Rays, 6-1, wining the series, 3-2 & so they move on to meet the Yankees, in the next series. Game 1 is tomorrow night at 8:08pm. Tonight, the Cards & Nationals meet for game 1 at 8:08pm.

A rainy start to the day, but will clear up this afternoon. Everyone ready for Turkey Day? We will be having our tomorrow at my sister's place. Save the hassle of my mother having to do it while packing to move.
Last night was game 1 of the NL finals, with Washington going up 1-0 over the Cards, with a 2-0 win. This afternoon, game 2 between the 2 squads will begin at 4pm, while game 1 of the AL finals, between the Yankees & Astros, will go at 8pm tonight. Also the Leafs will try to snap out of a 3 game losing streak, when they go head to head with Detroit, tonight at 7pm.

Three Canadian cities; Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto have made it into the top 10 of the most liveable cities of the Global Liveability Ranking for 2019. The folks over at the Economist Intelligence Unit looked at 140 cities across the globe and took into consideration; culture, education, environment, healthcare, infrastructure and stability. Yay us!!
