I have a question for the tech experts on here. :) A friend of mine is looking to buy a simple device that will let her "play" on the go. Something that will function as an e-reader to let her read books on the subway & also allow her to access her email & surf the net on her lunch hour. These are the 2 she's found & she's asked me what would work better since there is a price difference. Ultimately, she's looking to spend less than $200 for her new toy.
Does anyone know anything about either of these tablets? Is there something else you'd recommend?
Coby Kyros 7" Tablet, Android 2.2, 4GB

Velocity Micro Cruz R103 Reader 7" Touch/Android/Wi-Fi, 4GB Memory

Thanks so much for anyone who can give me a clue about how to evaluate these things. The days when I knew about technology are long behind me (I used to spend my Friday nights hanging out with hackers who'd crack codes for fun - I think playing spin the bottle might have been a more productive activity for me :P).
