Good morning fellow Canucks!

I just realized that I should be in Newfoundland this week. Last summer I won a contest where I would go to Newfoundland and Labrador and chase icebergs. The flights, hotel, tour and a $500 food voucher was the prize.

Of course I had to postpone the trip, and cancel my flights as Air Canada had monkeyed with the itinerary. If we did go, we would have arrived on Tuesday rather than Sunday, so the tour would have already started. But coming home our flight was from Deer Lake to Halifax to St. John's... nothing about Toronto.

Cancelling my flight took about an hour and a half on the phone. After checking with the contest promoters, they issued me another flight voucher. Now it is just when we go as iceberg season is May and June, so we may postpone it to next year, or check with the tour operator to see if they have other excursions, which they do. Of course I have this feeling that Newfoundlanders don't want anyone from the GTA over there right now and I don't blame them.

A nice sunny day & looks to be warmer than yesterday, but not humid. So TO & Peel were able to move to stage 2 yesterday & most of Windsor will be able to move to stage 2 today. There are 2 areas in Windsor that will remain in stage 1. With the opening of most of the province, the traffic is now getting back to pre-covid congestion. Also traffic accidents are increasing. I think with a lot of people being off for so long, they have forgotten how to drive, as well as, the people who have been driving for this time with no traffic, have forgotten that they have to leave earlier to get to their work at the same time, with the increase of traffic & they can't drive as fast. The speeding tickets may now go down, but fender benders will go up.
