Hope everyone enjoyed their day.

My friend still has a nurse coming in every other day to check on her dressing, but since today was her "free" day, she wanted an outing. We went for a bus ride to pick up some groceries for her (she wanted to feel productive), but took a cab home, since the silly powers that be rerouted my bus (construction was supposed to shut down the street next to me, but the city is behind on doing things - surprise, surprise :P). Both of us were eager to get back to take naps.

Now I have to convince Lily dog that she won't melt if she goes out in the rain. Should be fun.

One of Microsoft's finest technicans was drafted and sent to boot camp. At the rifle range, he was given some instruction, a rifle, and bullets. He fired several shots at the target. The report came from the target area that all attempts had completely missed the target.

The technician looked at his rifle, and then at the target. He looked at the rifle again, and then at the target again. He put his finger over the end of the rifle barrel and squeezed the trigger with his other hand. The end of his finger was blown off, whereupon he yelled toward the target area, "It's leaving here just fine, the trouble must be at your end!"

Low self-esteem

A guy had been feeling down for so long that he finally decided to seek the aid of a psychiatrist.

He went there, lay on the couch, spilled his guts then waited for the profound wisdom of the psychiatrist to make him feel better.

The psychiatrist asked me a few questions, took some notes then sat thinking in silence for a few minutes with a puzzled look on his face.

Suddenly, he looked up with an expression of delight and said, "Um, I think your problem is low self-esteem. It is very common among losers."

Hello to my Qbee friends im back:)
This summer as a few of you know has been the toughest of my life .I missed you all and am so glad to be back .
I really dont know where to start ! my dog had to be put down from just old age.
My x couldnt handle that I left and ended up taking his own life just over a week ago.
My 2 sons found him,it was so sad ,the affects of booze and not having me around
sent him over the edge. Even though we werent really together i still babied him.Now im trying to move on and not sure where to start so figured id come by and see some sweet names that always make me smile:)Life is short it truly is

Wow im in tears with all the messages you all sent to me. Thanks so much I really loved the Thanksgiving cards hahahaha,,,yes im still crazy:)

A Very special thanks to my dear friend SillyLoocie:flowers: we have become very good friends over the summer and she was there listening to me through it all . You dont find many friends like that anymore .Im so thankful for her friendship even though she didnt make me cookies LOL:lolsign:

Michele,
You are a brave & stong woman. The unfortunate power of addiction is a force to be recokoned with on so many levels. Booze has destroyed so many lives on so many fronts. You reached the point where you had to take a stand. I admire you so much for having the courage to move ahead.
Tragic for you & so tragic for your sons. My heart goes out to you & the boys. There are no right words to say to help you to feel better.
I'm so sad for you & your family.

We are all just people who sign in here & say what we have to say & do whatever it is we do. So many of our lives have been touched by tragedy & heartache.

I can just tell you that you are very special & that I am very honoured & proud to regard you as a friend.

I want to say that we have all missed you, and that you are one tough lady. You have been through so much this year that it makes my own problems seem trivial. You have many friends here who are always willing to listen and give support when needed. Keep your chin up. :flowers:
