You have rights including the fact that a fractured hip should be operated on within 48 to, at the most, 72 hours of the break. Consider the unecessary gamma ray exposure from the x-rays that didn't need to have been taken if the proper initial post-op care had been taken with the IV and its unforgivable that no-one could have detected that problem when m-i-l was exhibiting symptoms of a painful wrist.
Here's a couple of contacts I pulled off the web before I started typing. Check if they're both current and you could start there:
Rob Devitt, Toronto East General Hospital CEO and IABC/Toronto Communicator of the Year. (CNW Group/IABC Toronto)
Shelley Darling, Director of Corporate Communications, Planning and Memberships of TEGH, explains, "By quickly determining that the hospital's governance issue stemmed from poor communication, Rob sought to restore trust through a commitment to transparency and managed to prevail where many others had been unsuccessful."
Don't let these clowns get away with their sub-standard care - we're not a 3rd world country dammit
