some activity equivalents to superbowl intake:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifest....html#photo=11
Three slices of pizza topped with pepperoni, ham, beef, bacon and sausage would require 1,229 minutes of “Tebowing” to combat the calorie intake. That’s more than 20 hours of kneeling and praying.
Crispy fried chicken is one of the worst game-day offenders. One extra crispy breast and drumstick from KFC would take 203 touchdown dances to burn off. Hopefully Sunday’s match is high-scoring.
A mere three fried macaroni and cheese balls can pack up to 1,500 calories. Burning off these fried bites would take 249 laps down the length of a football field.
A single deviled egg warrants 12 continuous minutes of cheerleading in order to void the calories ingested. That includes high kicks, jumps and a lot of smiling.
One jalapeno popper, the variety made with cream cheese, Cheddar cheese and bacon, takes a full hour of performing in a marching band to minimize. That’s a lot of horn blowing.Last edited by heartgirl99; Sun, Feb 5th, 2012 at 01:08 PM.

Good Afternoon (are you ready for some football .....)
We had quite the morning - there's a group from the neighbourhood who meet at a nearby school each Sunday morning for a bit of doggie fun and frolic. Oggie had been invited by a number of folks when we met them this week during our walkabouts. So, we took a peak and it was retriever central - a number of Goldens, a handful of Labs and a couple of Poodles and Golden/LabraDoodles thrown in for good measure. Oggie was in heaven and all the dogs treated him with care and respect. Then a puppy (7 mths) boxer joined the group. Apparently he was known for rough-housing as I was warned by the group as the dog approached. Boxer was very rambunctious and he continually "picked" on Oggie - very roughly and I was getting a little worried. I needn't have. My little guy held his own and showed exactly the degree of "you are so not going to pick on me" without any over-the-top aggression. The other owner stepped in but the dog immediately went back at Oggie. Again, not mean-spirited, just way too much and really rough activity. This stop/start kept on going - when it was clear that the other dog wasn't going to quit and the other owner couldn't control her dog from going after Oggie, I said to the group that maybe it was time to go and we'd try again next week. The other owner seemed to be as upset with her dog's behaviour as I was and was very gracious about it. She thought that Oggie needed a bit more time to bond with the group so she took her pup home earlier than normal. What a great group of dogs and dog owners!! Very understanding of dogs' needs and extremely considerate of others.
Don't know who's more tired ... so, I think we'll both nap before the big game!Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.
